Bing suite of apps updated for Windows Phone 8.1
Improved Bing apps have arrived in the Store, but only for devices running Windows Phone 8.1. In new a blog post, Microsoft gives details about all new features and improvements in Bing Apps. First of all, Bing apps now have improved log-in process with single sign-in, so you won’t need to enter credentials for each Bing App.
Bing Food & Drink now offers materials from leading online schools for cooking, including videos, tutorials and other cooking materials. Popular chefs provide cooking tricks, recipes, and teach you how to make the perfect dishes with useful food appliances, while the new Source Hub provides personalized content in one place.
Bing Travel now tracks flights in real time, displaying information about flight statuses, arrivals and destinations times on the go. Bing News now adds New York Times to its list of sources, so you can read popular news and key insights for politics, health, business and more.
All updates are available for Windows Phone 8.1 devices, and from now on, all new smartphones will come preinstalled with the new Bing Apps. If you have an older Windows Phone version, you will need to wait for the big 8.1 update first.
