Bing suite of apps rebrands with the MSN logo

Microsoft has just re-branded the Bing apps on Windows Phone by replacing the Bing logo with the old MSN sign. This change does not affect apps’ functionality and there are no new features in MSN apps except in the MSN Health & Fitness app which comes with better syncing and lock screen support.
The MSN branding for Windows Phone apps was announced at IFA 2014 in September and coincided with recent design and functionality changes in MSN web portal. If you head to the Windows Phone store now you will see there are updates available for each of the old Bing apps and MSN logo will pop up at the front as soon as you install the updates.
MSN apps also coming to Windows 8.1 PC
These changes will be applied also for Windows 8.1 in the coming days, with Bing Finance already transformed into MSN Money.
Microsoft is also expected to unleash MSN apps to other platform including Android and iOS. MSN branding is still recognizable in the US, so Microsoft hopes to resurrect MSN services, increase the brand popularity and attract new users. The company is trying to offer its services to all consumers and all platforms, while other software makers (like Google) lock their apps to their own platforms.
