We’ve tried out some of the new apps available in Windows Phone store so here is a short summary of the best new additions we’ve found so far.

Zello

Zello is a virtual Walkie Talkie allowing you to call friends who have the app on their devices. The good news is that Zello is available on other major platforms – iOS, Android and BlackBerry. You can also text or chat with friends at no costs, using Wi-Fi or 3G/4G band.

While calls are made in real time, Zello has an option to send audio messages which are received once your friend opens the app. In addition, Zello supports channels (private and public) and is compatible with Bluetooth headsets. Download Zello for free.

Time of My Life

An app developed by Microsoft Studios for tracking your time. Using location services, ‘Time of My Life’ shows where you spend your time, displaying daily, weekly and monthly graphs.

MovieJax

MovieJax is a new video app that lets you make unique movies using Windows Phone. Using the app you can capture new videos or add video files saved in the phone’s storage. Texts, pictures, music and effects can be added to the movies, while a simple trimming tool allows you to edit the length of the video. All movies can be saved and shared with friends. The app comes with support for low-memory devices, which is great given that most popular Windows Phones have 512 MB RAM.

Torrex Pro

Torrex Pro is a torrent client for Windows Phone allowing you to download any torrents or magnets. The interface is simple but effective. Download Torrex Pro for free from here.

SoundCloud MP3

With this app you can download music directly on your Smartphone. SoundCloud Mp3 gives you the possibility to explore the most popular songs on Billboard, stream songs for free or download music directly on your Windows Phone for offline listening.
