BBM launch imminent, the app shows up in the Store
Earlier reports said that BBM messaging service would be coming to Windows Phone devices in July. Today the popular app has arrived in the Windows Store but don’t get too excited – you won’t be able to install it unless you have been invited to join the Private Beta.
The good news is that BlackBerry messenger is close to launch, in probably a few days away from now. BBM is one of the most anticipated applications for Windows Phone, a service that would almost close the gap to rivaling platforms in terms of popular app availability.
Information about BBM’s design and user interface is yet to be revealed – the store doesn’t include any screenshots or clues on how the messenger looks. Based on information from earlier reports we believe BBM would come with traditional BBM design enriched with modern elements. Of course, the app would feature a Live Tile and other Windows Phone exclusive features.
You can find BBM Private Beta hidden in the Store under BlackBerry name, but you won’t be able to install the app right now. Once the company unlocks the app for all users, you will be able to grab it from the link below.
