Amazon, the leading online retailer has released an update to its Windows Phone app. Version 2.3.80.25 is now available for download, bringing improvements in terms of search functionality and more. What’s new according to the app changelog:

• you can browse items by departments
• you can apply different search filters such as brands, price, author, eligibility and more
• the new version includes bug fixes and other minor improvements

Amazon’s mobile app gives you a full access to millions of products which can be bought directly from your smartphone on the go using a simple and straightforward interface. Customers can compare prices, read reviews, share products with friends and use the barcode scanner to check the availability of a product.

When you open the app for the first time you select the desired country store and then you have a full access to shopping cart, wish lists, order history, 1-click purchase and more. Buying products through the app is as safe as using the web version, as all purchases are made through secure servers.
