Alcatel Idol Pro 4 to launch in Europe by June for €599
Alcatel renames the Idol 4S to Idol Pro 4 for European market
The company is changing the name of the Idol 4S, the smartphone launched in late 2016 exclusively for T-Market in the US, to Idol Pro 4 for the European market. Alcatel has announced that the Idol 4 Pro will be coming in Europe by June, priced at €599 unlocked and no-contract.
Aside the name change, Idol Pro 4 is no different from the Idol 4s for T-Mobile. It has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a full HD resolution. The processor is Snapdragon 820, backed by 4 GB of RAM. Other key specs include 64GB of storage, microSD slot for expansion, and two front speakers.
Alcatel Idol 4 Pro will face no competition in the tiny Windows Phone market in Europe. Currently, there is only one high-end device besides the discontinued Lumia 950 line. While the Alcatel offering costs €599, the other model – HP Elite x3 has a much higher price of around €799.
