Acer announces a high-end Windows 10 phone with Continuum
Acer Jade Primo has a Snapdragon 808 and transforms into a PC
Acer has surprised the audience during a press-conference in Berlin at IFA 2015 by announcing and demonstrating its first Windows 10 Phone. Fortunately, it is not some cheap device, but a premium model equipped with Continuum for phones.
Acer Jade Primo is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor and has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. When connected to an external screen, mouse and keyboard, the Jade Primo unleashes a PC-like experience thanks to the processor’s dual-Screen capabilities. The phone also has a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera.
The company briefly demonstrated the device on stage, attached to a monitor via dock. All needed accessories (Continuum Dock, Keyboard and mouse) will come with Jade Primo in a package.
Acer is yet to confirm all specs, price and launch date of the Jade Primo.
